SinuSauna is simple to use.

  • Attach the power cord to the heating element.
  • Find a place where you can relax, read a book or watch TV.
  • Plug the device into a power outlet. Only use the power adapter and cord that came with your SinuSauna.
  • Before placing the mask over your nose and mouth, press and release the power button once to turn the heating element on. Within 20 seconds, the mask will begin to cycle heated air at the lowest temperate setting, 130°F. (see the next question to adjust the temperature)
  • Place the mask over your nose and mouth. Adjust the position and tighten the straps to better fit the mask to your face.
  • Breathe normally.
  • SinuSauna will automatically turn off after 20 minutes.

For optimal comfort and safety, we recommend starting with the lowest setting and gradually increasing the temperature based on your personal preference. Listen to your body and adjust as needed.

Different light colors align with temperature settings.  SinuSauna will default to yellow, or approximately 130°F.  As you hold the button, the LED color will change as the temperature increases.

  • Before placing the mask over your nose and mouth, press and hold the power button. Continue to hold the button until the desired temperature is achieved.
    • 0-3 seconds: Yellow (approximately 130°F)
    • 3-5 seconds: Orange (approximately 140°F)
    • Greater than 5 seconds: Red (approximately 150°F)
  • If you want to reduce the temperature, press and release the power button. This will turn the heating element off and you can start the above process again to reach the preferred temperature.

It is recommended that you use SinuSauna 2-3 times per week or if you suspect you have been exposed to germs.  If you have been exposed to germs, using SinuSauna daily for up to two (2) days after exposure will be most effective in drying out the germs.

SinuSauna is designed to turn off automatically after 20 minutes.  It is safe to use daily, but the recommended usage is 2-3 times per week.

We recommend that you start with the lowest temperature setting (yellow = 130°F).  Clinical data suggests that the lowest temperature setting will be effective in drying out germs in the nose and throat.  See the question above to adjust the temperature.

It is normal if the heated air leaks out of some parts of the mask.  If this air is not bothering you, no need to worry.  To minimize air leaking, adjust the placement on your face or tighten the straps.

Within 20 seconds of pressing the power button, you should begin to feel heated air inside the mask. Please make sure the power cord is attached and plugged into a working power outlet. Make sure you are only using the power box and cord that came with your SinuSauna. Other power boxes in your home may not operate with the correct wattage.

No, do not expose SinuSauna to water.  SinuSauna works with dry heat.  The science behind SinuSauna is heated air from a dry sauna.  Exposing SinuSauna to water will damage the heating element and it will not do the job of drying out germs.

Unplug your SinuSauna from the wall outlet prior to cleaning. To clean the mask, remove it from the heating element and wipe clean using a damp cloth.  You can also wash the mask in mild soap and water once you have removed it from the heating element.  To clean the heating element, simply wipe the outside of the heating element with a moist cloth that has been rung out.  Do not submerge or rinse the heating element.

No latex has been used in the manufacturing of SinuSauna.  The mask is made of medical grade silicone that meets all FDA requirements.   The heating element is made of plastic and a small circuit board.

The academic literature supporting the science behind the SinuSauna includes over 13 independent studies demonstrating the benefits of heated air therapy (hyperthermic) to reduce the replication of germs.  Throughout the development process, SinuSauna has gone through several rounds of testing to improve the user experience.

SinuSauna complies with all applicable FDA regulations.

Yes, we encourage other adults in your household to enjoy the benefits of SinuSauna.  The mask has not been designed for children.  As with any consumer product designed to support general wellness, all adults should seek professional medical advice before using this product and should discontinue using this product if they encounter any discomfort during or after use.
